About ASTM F3561
ASTM F3561 is a forced-entry standard written for complete fenestration assemblies. It tests glass, framing, anchoring, and hardware together, as one installed system.
Clear-Armor is applied to your existing glass without replacing your framing or hardware. It is tested to ASTM F3561 at Level 6, on a 48.5 x 66.5 inch fixed window assembly: Intertek T5624.01-119-12 R0, tested 3/4/26, covering SL-15, SL-31 and BR.
For architects, security directors, and procurement teams writing forced-entry specifications, this distinction determines what a level actually tells you. ASTM F3561 evaluates a complete fenestration system, the glazing, framing, anchoring, and hardware, tested and rated together exactly as it will be installed in the field. Because the rating belongs to the assembly, the same product applied to different glass, in a different frame, is a different test. A level earned on a small coupon of quarter-inch tempered glass and a level earned on a full framed window are not the same achievement, even when the number printed looks similar. We publish our Level 6 result with the assembly it was earned on, and we do not claim it transfers to a different opening.

What Clear-Armor is tested to: ASTM F3561 Level 6, forced entry after simulated active shooter attack (Intertek T5624.01-119-12 R0, 3/4/26); ASTM F1233 Class 1.2 and 1.3, contraband and body passage (Intertek T5621.01-119-12 R0, 3/6/26); and NIJ 0108.01 Type II-A, 9mm, on laminated glazing (Intertek N2350.01-119-12 R0, 2022). SL-15 and BR also hold CDPH v1.2 VOC clearance for school classroom use (Berkeley Analytical 260722-04, 7/22/26). Test reports available on request.
