About ASTM F3561
ASTM F3561 is a forced-entry standard written for complete fenestration assemblies. It tests glass, framing, anchoring, and hardware together, as one installed system.
Clear-Armor is a retrofit laminate applied to your existing glass. It does not replace your framing or hardware, so it cannot carry a system-level certification like F3561. No retrofit laminate can. If a vendor tells you otherwise, ask for the full assembly test report.
What Clear-Armor is verified to: EN 356 P4A forced-entry resistance, NIJ Level IIIA ballistic resistance, UL 752 ballistic standards, and GSA blast testing, all through independent laboratories. Test reports available on request.
If your project specifies F3561, we will tell you straight whether a retrofit approach fits or whether you need a full assembly replacement. That answer costs nothing.
