BALLISTIC GLASS FOR ARCHITECTS: ENGINEERED FOR SPECIFICATION

When it comes to ballistic glass for architects, we deliver what matters most: tested performance, optical clarity, design preservation, and a system that doesn’t disrupt the building envelope. No frame modifications. No glazing schedule changes. No permit re-submittals. Your design intent stays intact.

Code Compliance, Meets Fire Code

Clear-Armor meets applicable building fire code requirements including ASTM E84 surface burning characteristics, ANSI Z97.1 safety glazing standards, CPSC 16 CFR architectural glazing, and ASTM E84 surface burning, FSI 0 / SDI 45. No special variances required for code submittal.

No Frame, Glass, or Hardware Changes

Clear-Armor applies to the existing glazing as a laminate. No new framing systems, no glass replacement, no hardware modifications, no glazing schedule changes. The original window or curtain wall assembly remains structurally and visually intact, preserving the architect’s complete design intent.

99% UV Rejection, Interior Preservation

Beyond ballistic performance, Clear-Armor rejects 99% of UV radiation. Interior finishes, art, fabric, furniture, and flooring are protected from fade. For institutional buildings with valuable collections, historic interiors, or premium finish budgets, this is meaningful long-term value preservation.

Custom Builds for Specialty Threats

For projects requiring threat protection beyond handgun-level glazing, including rifle threats, special government applications, or unique specifications, Clear-Armor builds custom applications stopping the largest caliber projectiles. Engineered to your specification, with full performance documentation and patent-protected technology.
